What are Doctrines?
Doctrines form the strategic backbone of the Dark Order of Caine’s approach to large-scale GvG combat. They are carefully designed frameworks that guide the composition, coordination, and execution of our battle strategies.
In simple terms, doctrines are our guild’s playbook - they define how we fight as a coordinated unit.
Purpose of Doctrines
Doctrines ensure that our guild operates cohesively during GvG events. By establishing clear roles, party compositions, and strategies, doctrines allow us to:
- Coordinate Effectively: Every member knows their role and responsibilities
- Maximise Combat Impact: Optimise damage output, healing, and support capabilities
- Adapt to Changes: Maintain flexibility to adjust to shifts in the game’s meta
- Form Up Quickly: Minimise preparation time during GvG events
Key Components
Each doctrine consists of these main elements:
1.1 Overall Strategy
- How we fight as a guild
- Positioning and movement
- Engagement tactics 1.2
- overall group/guild composition
- Party Compositions
- role distribution
- Individual Roles
- Specific responsibilities
- Build requirements

Flexibility and Adaptation
Doctrines are living documents that evolve based on:
- Member Feedback: Combat experience and insights from GvG events
- Enemy Tactics: Observations of rival guild strategies
- Game Updates: Changes to game balance and mechanics
